On May 19, 2010 - MFOA Director, Bob Fisk presented to both Karen Deady's class and the Pet Club at Madision Elementary School.
We are so impressed by the passion these children and their mentors have for the animals! Not only did these young advocates raise over $400 for MFOA, but they sent us home with presents and... a book to help us educate other young animal lovers in Maine!
MFOA hopes to work with Pet Club founder, Betty Abbott, to bring her innovative program to other elementary schools in Maine.
See more pictures of the Madision Elementary School visit on Facebook!

Volunteering in a political campaign is an invaluable experience. It can be an exciting, intense, short term sense of group solidarity and a fun way to meet others who share your passion for an issue / candidate, while learning how voting blocs, even minority ones, can and do affect election outcomes.
Candidate recruitment for the state legislature is beginning now for the November elections. Getting MFOA-endorsed candidates elected is one of the most important things you can do to advance animal protection.
